More than 4,400 people attended the two-day annual event, attracting more than 180 exhibiting companies. Over 3,500 people participated in the live event and nearly 900 people participated in the virtual event.

The two-day PRSE conference opened in a virtual speech given by Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries of the European Commission. It showcased the latest developments in plastic recycling technologies and applications, and discussed future industry challenges and legislative prospects within the EU.

"PRSE is a great opportunity to see new machines, learn about new trends, and talk about business, so all participants in the plastic recycling value chain can take the next step towards a circular economy," Ton Emans, President of Plastic Recycling Company Comment on Europe (PRE). "It is obviously very important for our visitors and exhibitors to resume on-site activities, which is evidenced by the enthusiasm of the plastic recycling community for PRSE this year."

"PRSE 2021 proves our most successful exhibition to date, attracting more visitors and exhibiting companies than ever before," said Matt Barber, PRSE Events Director of Crain Communications, which organizes PRSE with PRE. "We have received such positive feedback from exhibitors, conference speakers, visitors and winners. Everyone is happy to meet face to face again to advance Europe's plastic recycling agenda."

PRSE is unique in Europe. It brings together exhibitors, visitors and European finalists of the Plastic Recycling Award representing the entire value chain of the plastics industry, including recyclers, machine manufacturers, raw material manufacturers, processors, waste management companies, and more More brand owners, retailers and investors. PRSE promotes collaborative progress in plastic recycling by demonstrating innovation, sharing best practices, and bringing partners together to build networks and conduct business.

Exhibitor Michael Heitzinger, managing director of Erema Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen, stated that PRSE is playing a more important role than ever: “PRSE is a showcase of plastic recycling. It shows the world that plastic recycling is real and there is Value.” Amber Augustus, Product Group Manager of Greiner Packaging International, who demonstrated the innovative design of recyclable coffee cups at the conference, added: “In order to achieve a circular economy, the plastics industry must work together. I think events like PRSE are very suitable for this. Kind of situation."

This year’s hybrid event also allows people who cannot attend the event in person to view the elements of the two-day conference program through a live broadcast, including welcome speeches, keynote and sponsored speeches, and the announcement of the winners of the European Plastic Recycling Awards. Online visitors can also directly communicate with Exhibitor interaction.

Sian Miles, Director of Sustainable Resources at Berry BPI, urges people to participate in PRSE in 2022: “There are so many things to do. You can attend conferences, meet all the plastic recyclers in Europe, and learn about all the latest innovations. Every year there is something new to do. Look."

The European Plastics Recycling Exhibition will return to Hall 12 of RAI Amsterdam from June 22 to 23, 2022.
